# How can I find the timezone of events?

How can I find the timezone of events?

To determine the timezone you will need to lookup the calendar\_id and fetch the timezone attribute then use this to calculate the local time.

Calendars can have no timezone values (NULL) attached to them. If this is required you will need to request this value from the customer.

We have an ongoing feature request to add this to our event payload, we can provide no eta on when this will reach production.
