Getting Google hasn't verified the app error

I’ve registered a Google app in the Google Cloud Console, created OAuth credentials, and added them to Nylas. I also configured the redirect URI correctly (https://api.us.nylas.com/v3/connect/callback).

The OAuth flow works fine for Google Workspace (company) accounts — but when I try connecting a personal Gmail account, I get the following error after signing in:

“Google hasn’t verified this app.”

If I click “Go to [app] (unsafe),” it proceeds well, but how can i get rid of this warning toast?

Hello,

This warning appears because your Google Cloud project is using sensitive or restricted OAuth scopes and is currently set to Testing status. While your OAuth flow works correctly for internal Workspace accounts (which are trusted), Google enforces this security warning for all external users, including personal Gmail accounts, until your app passes Google’s official verification process.

Use internal applications to skip the App Verification and Security Review process. If anyone outside your organization needs to verify against your application at any time, you will need to go through the Google security review.
