Missing email & delayed email in getting threads for IMAP

Issue: We have customers connected using IMAP and there has been many complaints regarding:

  • Missing email thread: The email thread is not returned in the get threads API even though it’s not deleted in the original email inbox
  • Delay in getting the email thread when they have received it in their email inbox much earlier (up to 1-2 hours delay). Some emails are not retrievable from get threads API until 1-2 hours later

Impact:

  • This results in emails completely missing from our system
  • Our customers receive the emails at a much later time, ruining their daily operation
