We’re experiencing significant reliability issues with the webhooks coming from the Nylas platform, specifically message.opened and thread.replied. Our system is set up with a single environment and one active webhook destination, and we’re using Nylas tracking for emails. Despite this simple setup, the webhook behavior has been inconsistent.
Here’s what we’re observing:
Some webhooks are delivered immediately, as expected.
Others never arrive at all, with no errors or retries shown in our logs or in the Nylas dashboard.
The missing events are random. we haven’t been able to reproduce a clear pattern.
Our infrastructure is highly available, with reliable inbound processing, and we’re not seeing any ingestion failures on our end.
Given this, we’re trying to understand:
Is there any known issue affecting the delivery of message.opened or thread.replied events?
Are there additional logs or diagnostics we should be checking on the Nylas side?
Are there recommended best practices for improving reliability or visibility into webhook deliveries?
We’d appreciate any guidance or insights. Right now, the webhook inconsistency is impacting our ability to build a dependable workflow on top of Nylas.
