we have a problem with receiving event invitations via the email API. Starting points:
- 2 Outlook accounts
- Account A is not connected to nylas in any way
- Account B is connected to nylas and integrated into our software (email + calendar scope)
- Account A is creating an event and adds attendee B to it
- B receives an invite email in his inbox and a pending calendar entry
- Calendar entry works fine and is displayed in the calendar of our software
- The mail is also displayed in our software, but only with sender, recipient + subject. NO body + no attachments (no ics/ical file)
Without that attachment we cannot know this is an invitation email and show the corresponding calendar/event entry alongside with it. When using the email API of nylas to retrieve that single email there is still no attachment displayed. However when the url parameter fields is set to raw_mime I can see that there is a mail part with Content-Type: text/calendar containing the ics invite.
So in theory it would be possible for us to load each mail with raw_mime and parse the attachment ourselves, but I think that defeats the purpose of having nylas to make the API provider independent.
So is this intentional or can this be fixed?
