Scheduler-created Zoom conferences do not follow reschedule or cancellation

We are testing OutBooked before launch, using Nylas v3 in the US region, Google Calendar, and a separately authorized Zoom user. The Zoom grant has meeting create, update, and delete permissions. Tests below use direct HTTPS requests, not an SDK.

A minimal Scheduler configuration has event_booking.conferencing.provider = “Zoom Meeting” and autocreate.conf_grant_id set to the authorized Zoom grant. Scheduler emails are disabled. Application, grant, booking, event, and Zoom identifiers are omitted from this public report; we can provide the request identifiers privately if useful.

Reproduction, tested October 11, 2026:

  1. POST /v3/scheduling/bookings?configuration_id=<configuration> creates a Google event and unique Zoom meeting for October 15, 09:00-10:15 America/Chicago.
  2. PATCH /v3/scheduling/bookings/<booking>?configuration_id=<configuration>, with a verified-available October 16 09:00-10:15 start/end, returns success. Google Calendar moves to October 16, but the Zoom web portal still shows October 15.
  3. A subsequent PUT /v3/grants/<google_grant>/events/<event>?calendar_id=<calendar>&notify_participants=false with the new when values succeeds but does not move Zoom. We also tried a different verified-free October 16 10:30 slot to rule out a same-time no-op; Zoom remained October 15.
  4. DELETE /v3/scheduling/bookings/<booking>?configuration_id=<configuration> returns success and removes the Google event, but the Zoom meeting remains. We removed the test-only Zoom meeting manually afterward.

This control used an untouched Scheduler-created event: no OutBooked event-title/description/conferencing rewrite occurred before the first reschedule. Our actual app booking reproduced both failures. In contrast, a prior event created directly through the Nylas Events API with Zoom autocreate did propagate an Events API time update and deletion to Zoom.

Your Zoom guide says event time/title updates propagate to the Zoom conference and notes best-effort conference deletion. Is there a Scheduler-specific limitation, missing linkage, or supported additional operation we should use to keep Zoom in sync? We need to retain Scheduler availability validation and avoid creating duplicate meetings. We have not assumed that a Calendar event deletion proves Zoom deletion.
