Our production service has been affected by the current outage to Microsoft accounts which has now been ongoing since December 30th 2025 with no updates. This is very frustrating.
The title of the outage says “Small number of requests” but in fact it is every single request. Further, there has been no update to the status of your services as they all still say operational (but they aren’t).
Can anyone provide an update, ETA, or SLA for when this can be expected to come back online?
We will reach out to you via email to review your API requests and confirm if there is another issue involved.
We are tracking these errors to be less than 1% of all API calls involving Microsoft grants. Microsoft Support has confirmed that they have escalated this issue on their side, but have not yet provided any further updates or ETA. We will update the incident status page once we hear more from them.
Our services are still working even if one of the email providers (Microsoft) is experiencing an issue with their own services.
@alex-nylas any updates on this matter? We have also been greatly impacted by this issue, with more than 50% of our requests failing. Is there a Microsoft issue tracker that you can share? What sort of escalation is Nylas pursuing?
I understand that the root cause may lie with Microsoft, but one of the primary reasons we chose Nylas was to provide a stable, well-supported interface over the Microsoft Graph API. Given that, the slow support responses and lack of actionable guidance during an outage have been disappointing.
We are still waiting on Microsoft for updates. You can follow this status page for the latest information:
I understand that an outage like this is frustrating. However, since Nylas relies on the Microsoft Graph API, we are unable to take further action at this time.
For more details on Nylas support responses, please refer to the following documentation:
Microsoft has not provided any workarounds at this time. You may try using different parameters beyond those listed on the status page: “any_email”, “from”, “to”, “cc”, “bcc”, or “subject”. We will update our status page as soon as we receive any new information from them.
