Received webhooks for all historical data/sync over the weekend

Over the weekend, we received a flood of historical webhook events that seems like a regression/unexpected behavior.

According to the documentation, as of v3, we should no longer automatically sync all historical data upon new connections. Can you clarify if there was a regression in behavior or if this was intended, if you will be bringing back the ability to configure historical sync windows?
